The PKD Foundation
Dr. Jared J. Grantham and Joseph H. Bruening started the PKD Foundation over 30 years ago with a vision to find treatments and a cure for polycystic kidney disease (PKD). When they started, not much was known about PKD. The genes hadn't been identified and there were only a small number of researchers even working in PKD science. Today, we are the second largest funder of PKD research. Over the last 30 years, more than $38 million has been invested in more than 550 research, clinical and scientific grants, fellowships, scientific meetings and educational programs.
Today, we lead the fight against PKD through research, education, advocacy, support and awareness. Our goal is simple — to discover and deliver treatments and a cure for PKD.
You can join our fight. You can help make a difference in the lives of millions of people with PKD.
