Kroger 2009-2010 Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program
Shop at Krogers in Texas & Louisiana? PKD Foundation Members who want to participate in the Kroger 2009-2010 Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program and benefit PKD research can present the attached letter to your cashier upon checkout at Kroger. The cashier will scan the barcode with the Kroger Plus Card. Once a card is scanned with our Organization's barcode, it will be active for the remainder of the program year of July 1, 2009 - April 30, 2010. Please note that although the North Texas Chapter applied for the application the proceeds will go to the PKD Foundation.

"Your Diet Makes a Difference at all Stages of PKD" Our guest speaker, Carolyn Cochran, RD/LD, MS, CDE, will lead a discussion in nutrition management and the importance of diet for people living with PKD. Learn how your diet can help control your blood pressure and why it’s important to control your blood pressure if you have PKD. We will also learn to calculate and track protein needs along with the different nutrition care for early stages of PKD, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and post-transplantation.

 

As the function of our kidneys change, altering our diet is necessary. Carolyn Cochran is one of the most knowledgeable people in the renal nutrition fi eld. Learn what to eat, how much and when. If you have been putting this subject off, please come and learn.
