DAYTON-CINCINNATI Walk for PKD – WANT AD

Do you have a passion for helping our walk and the organizational skills to help coordinate our tenth annual walk? The Dayton-Cincinnati Chapter is looking for a Co-Coordinator to help pull together the Chapter’s Walk for PKD taking place September 23, 2012 at Voice of the America Park.  This person would work with Bob Parker, the Chapter’s Walk Coordinator for the last eight years, on tasks that are repeats from last year.  Lists of sponsors, sources of prizes, corporate volunteers already exist and correspondence letters are already done.  They just need to be updated for this year.  Even a list of volunteers who can help with the day of the walk exists; people just need to be called.

If you are interested in learning more or would like to volunteer, contact Bob Parker at Cincinnati daytoncincinnatiwalk@pkdcure.org

Make a difference in the lives of 12.5 million people.

We are looking for volunteers to help with some small duties to keep our Chapter growing, and raise PKD awareness in our area.

Help is always welcome in the following areas:
1. Helping on the Wine and Cheese Fundraising team.
2. Keeping the Chapter aware of what’s happening in Washington, DC.  It’s easy with Foundation emails.
3. Working on the PKD Walk 2012, the signature fundraising event for the PKD Foundation.
4. Putting information about PKD in your doctors’ offices.
5. Speaking in front of groups speak about PKD at service groups like Kiwanis or Sertoma.  These groups usually have a speaker at their monthly meetings, and this is an easy way to help spread the word about PKD.  We can supply you with a script, PKD handouts and materials.

PKD Champions - Hard at work on behalf of PKD patients!

Dayton Cincinnati Chapter Champions are continuing a great project to help patients get timely, needed information about Polycystic Kidney Disease.  Especially designed a business card for nephrologists and dialysis centers to pass to patients with a diagnosis of PKD.  Take a look, front and back!

Please contact Deborah Watson at DaytonCincinnatiChapter@pkdcure.org if you would like more information or to volunteer for one of these jobs or one that you would like to create which uses your talents for the Chapter.
