2008 Young Investigator Career Development Award
The intent of the Young Investigator Career Development Award is to help establish the research programs of young scientists who have shown promise as research fellows in the area of polycystic kidney disease. The successful applicant is one who has completed fellowship training, has begun a promising research career in polycystic kidney disease and holds a junior faculty position at U.S. university institutions or affiliated medical centers. The grant provides $65,000 per year and is renewable for two additional years for a total award amount of $195,000. Prior to the second and third years of funding, the principal investigator must submit a research report and a financial status report to the Foundation covering the previous year’s work.
Letter of Intent
All applicants must submit a brief (1 page) Letter of Intent by August 1, 2008, stating his/her plan to submit an application for this award. This LOI is non-binding. Mail LOI to:
