TEAM CENTER

Teams make more sense in lots of ways because they:

  • Raise more money
  • Make fundraising more fun
  • Build more awareness for PKD
  • Publicize the Walk for PKD to more people
  • Connect more walkers and PKD patients to a common goal

Corporate Teams

Promote team building and healthy lifestyles to your employees while engaging your company with the community. Empower your employees to work toward a common goal. Get your competitors in on the fun and see which company can raise the most money.

Ask your HR representative today about forming a Walk for PKD team today!

Friends and Family Teams

Connect family members and show your children the fun of working together. Many families create a Walk for PKD Team and make the Walk a place to hold a family reunion. Others make their family teams a memorial for a loved one.

Pick a Walk for PKD location and make it your September family reunion spot!

Tips - 5 Easy Ways to Recruit Team Members

  1. Talk to your Human Resources representative at work. See if your company would like to promote itself locally by sponsoring a Walk for PKD team with t-shirts, or promoting the Walk throughout your company.
  2. Ask! People won’t know to join you if you don’t ask them. The Walk for PKD is fun! People will want to join you.
  3. Send an email. Take advantage of your online Participant Center.
  4. Make the 2007 Walk for PKD your site for your family reunion.
  5. Think outside the box! Hold a recruitment party. A few ideas:
    -Pizza party lunch
    -Ice cream social
    -Bowling outing
    -Swim party
    -BBQ or cookout
