(Dallas, TX) October 23, 2007— Break out your cowboy hats and join patients from around the world to learn more about polycystic kidney disease. (PKD) The 2008 National Convention on PKD is set for June 20-22nd at the Hyatt Regency, Dallas.

Polycystic kidney disease, PKD, is one of the most common life-threatening genetic diseases, affecting 12.5 million people worldwide. PKD causes cysts to form in the kidneys and eventually leads to kidney failure. Dialysis and transplantation are the only treatments for kidney failure.  There is no cure for PKD.

Hundreds of PKD patients, family members and medical professionals will attend this one of a kind, educational and fun event.
