Seacoast Ride for a CureSeacoast Ride for a Cure
to benefit the PKD Foundation

Event History

The Seacoast Ride for PKD was started in 2009 by John L. Martin as a way to raise funds for research for treatments or a cure for Polycystic Kidney Disease.  John’s brother-in-law had PKD and would be in need of a transplant soon.  While he wanted to donate a kidney to him, he could not, so he decided he would find another way to help.  Being an avid cyclist and having done many charity rides, John decided he would organize one to support the PKD Foundation.  The ride is now in its 4th year and growing steadily.
