About PKD

Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is one of the most common, life-threatening genetic kidney diseases affecting thousands in America and millions worldwide.  PKD causes fluid-filled cysts to grow on both kidney, eventually leading to kidney failure.  Currently, there is no treatment or cure. But there is hope! The PKD Foundation exists to find treatments and a cure for PKD and to improve the lives of those it affects.  This is done through promoting research, education, advocacy, support and awareness so that one day, no one will suffer the full effects of PKD.
