PKD Parents

These sessions offer an intimate setting where parents of children and teens diagnosed with ADPKD and ARPKD can connect, learn, and support one another. Session topics include PKD 101, Day to Day Living with PKD, and dialysis and transplantation in youth. There will also be time for the group to get to know one another and share experiences. Featured speaker Lisa Guay-Woodford, M.D. is a Pediatric Nephrologist, the Richard L. Hudson Professor of Pediatrics and the Associate Vice President for Clinical and Translational Research at The George Washington University. She also serves as Director of the Center for Translational Science at Children's National Medical Center (CNMC) and Director of the Clinical and Translational Science Institute-Children's National (CTSI-CN). A member of the PKD Foundation Board of Trustees and Scientific Advisory Committee, her extensive knowledge of ARPKD will be explored in many sessions throughout the weekend.
