national convention on pkd
As you might expect for an event in Texas, it was big – and it was done with style.
Nearly 400 people from across the country attended the 2008 National Convention on PKD. Attendees learned about a variety of aspects related to PKD from some of the top experts in the field. Topics were as wide ranging to cover the bases for both first time attendees and repeat visitors alike. There was also an entire series of talks covering the recessive form of the disease which affects fetal development and newborns.
As a service to those interested in learning more about PKD – but not able to attend the convention or interested in hearing the material again - in the next few weeks, we will offer a number of these sessions online. Check back often for regular updates!
Get Ready for Next Year!
We’re expanding the National Convention on PKD to reach more of you each year! For 2009, we will be holding two conventions on two different dates in two different cities. Both conventions will have similar session topics and the same caliber of exceptional speakers you have seen at our past events.

In the Words of a Past Attendee
"I quickly realized that these strangers all understood and cared about the disease that has harmed my family for generations. That realization led to the joy of making new friends and realizing that my fate is not sealed. Please come and join me at this year’s National Convention on PKD, and see that you are also not alone in your battle with PKD."

Thank you to Otsuka, the 2008 National Convention on PKD sponsor.
