With the help of PKD Foundation Chapters in cities across the country and beyond, the PKD Foundation provides a forum for patients who want to join in the fight to raise find a treatment and cure for PKD.

National Convention on PKD - Summer 2009

The National Convention on PKD is the only opportunity, worldwide, for PKD patients, their families and and medical professionals to learn about PKD and connect with others in the PKD community.

In 2009, the convention will be held in two locations: 
Chicago, IL and San Diego, CA

The PKD Foundation hosted its first webinar Tuesday, October 14th. This free webinar “Basics of PKD” is now avaliable for everyone to view. The presentation was conducted by Dr. Ron Perrone, Associate Chief, Division of Nephrology of Tufts Medical Center (Boston) and Chair of the PKD Foundation Scientific Advisory Committee. 

This was the first in a series of quarterly webinars designed to provide education and information about various medical and lifestyle issues related to polycystic kidney disease.

Central Ohio Chapter - Spreading the Word

The Central Ohio Chapter is working hard to increase our presence in our community. To date, a display on the PKD Foundation and PKD has been shown at four Ohio Roller Girl bouts and was alos part of the UHE Community Day on June 21st. 

The Chapter display is also scheduled to be that the Black Arts Cultural Festival in Franklin Park as well as the Honda Employee Wellness and Benefit Event being held at Cedar Point Amusement Part in Sandusky just 2 weeks before the Walk for PKD. 

Each of these events present the opportunity for thousands of people to learn about PKD and the many resources available through the PKD Foundation and Central Ohio Chapter.
