A Tight Race to the Finish!
Congratulations to Katie Cox of Wilson Walkers who won the Team Captains Challenge and 25,000 American Airline Miles. Katie had raised the most money by 9:00pm Saturday, August 28th. Her team raised $1,740.00
The winner of a nights stay at the Hilton Southlake and a $100 gift card to Trulucks is Lonnie Kysiak of Team Nexen. She had the most team members (9) who had raised $100 or more!
Congratulations to both winners! What an exciting race! Way to get in the team spirit!
The announcements were made at the Kick-Off Party in Southlake. A fun, music filled evening with exciting raffles, a wine pull and fashions by Malouf. We raised $4,200.00 If you would like to get involved next year, please let us know!
Don’t Forget
This year we would like to remember those who have gone before us with PKD. We will have a Memory Board. If you have a family member, friend, or other person who lost the fight with PKD, please send us their picture (word document with information of who is in the picture along with dates) by September 1, 2010 to judy.macmillan@verizon.net
HONOR BOARD
To recognize Transplant Recipients and Donors, we will have a special tent. A 5x7 picture of donor/recipient with a card sharing this information will be displayed. You can be recognized during the walk ceremony and wear a special tag. Contact susanhownman@juno.com to get involved.
KICK OFF PARTY

Visionary Awards
We are proud to honor those who go above and beyond in their efforts to fight PKD. Visionaries are exceptional fundraisers who raise $6,000 or more for PKD research and patient education – in effect, donating one penny for each of the 600,000 Americans living with PKD.

TeamFirst Awards
TeamFirst Captains are those motivated individuals who encourage and support their teammates in their fundraising efforts. A little healthy competition goes a long way when a team captain and at least three other team members collectively raise $10,000 or more!
