PKD Foundation Government Advocacy

Welcome to the PKD Foundation’s Government Relations Center. The mission of the PKD Foundation is to promote research to find a cure for PKD and improve the care and treatment of those it affects. Education and advocacy are important parts of accomplishing that mission.

Since its inception in 1982, the PKD Foundation has worked with the U.S. Congress, the Executive Branch and other regulatory agencies in Washington, D.C., to raise awareness of PKD and impact legislators’ views on legislation and policies that affect ongoing PKD research efforts.

Information in the Government Relations Center will help PKD Foundation members, friends and the public keep up-to-date on important PKD issues in our nation’s capital and elsewhere. Use this section to learn more about our advocacy efforts, get the latest Action Alerts, find out about our legislative priorities and read news about PKD and the PKD Foundation.

The PKD Foundation is a strictly nonpartisan organization whose sole mission is finding a cure for PKD. The PKD Foundation does not support or oppose individual office holders, political parties or candidates. Our efforts are focused on raising awareness of PKD among elected officials and educating them about our research efforts.
